Constancy of purpose

Seth Godin likes to talk about you *not* needing a map to get where you’re going, but a compass.

And that’s what having a sense of purpose does for you. It can’t plan for every possible contingency, what it *can* do is plan to what kind of state you’ll be in, regardless of what the world brings on that day.

And as the illustration implies, it’s a continuous state. It never ends, it’s always improving.

Which, besides being a good business plan, is a powerful way to live.
