Tongue, along with the other villages on the north coast is a place of beauty with a wonderful beach and great scenery.

There's imposing castles to see, Heritage Centres for knowledge of our past, ancient Pictish sites of a past generation and wildlife areas brimming with creatures, all to be seen and enjoyed around the area.

For the energetic there's lots of hills and moors to be climbed or walked and along the coast much wildlife to be spotted.

For sport there's a smashing swimming pool, a good golf course to test the wee ba' hitter and lots of fishing to be had in and around the surrounding area.

For Eats the Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes provide good food.
Hotel, Guesthouse, Caravan and Camping facilities are available.

Travel is by bus, coach or car.
For the tourists from abroad the nearest airports are Wick with a connection to Tongue by bus or coach, Glasgow and Edinburgh both connect to Wick by air, rail, bus or coach, and on as above.
