Strathpeffer, set in the highland countryside is a favourite, with the many thousands of holidaymakers who visit, for it's world famous spa waters and beautiful scenery.
In many respects, it's like walking back into the Victorian times when entering the place, but of course, when you see the people around you, you soon realise you're not. It's the buildings, which are impressive, that help create this atmosphere.

It really is a beautiful place with quite a history from the already mentioned spa, to the railway, which in past days ran to the resort. In fact one can go to the old station to visit the Highland Museum of Childhood. Sample the waters April to September in the Upper Pump Room, next to the Spa Pavilion. As well as walks in the area, there is also now a bike shop where you can hire bikes.

There are some ancient stone sites of interest to see from a land before recorded history.

There's also a fine golf course, which is very popular for a challenging game.
This is excellent country for good healthy walks whether the relaxing stroll or the more adventurous ramble over the wonderful Highland landscapes.
