Peterhead
lies to the north of Aberdeen and
is arguably Scotlands' foremost fishing port. Around four hundred plus
boats use the port, coming and going daily, all for the countrys' consumption
of fish and other related products.
There are centres dedicated to those brave men of the sea and their
boats, all open to the public. Children can be absolutely fascinated
by the subject so don't miss the opportunity of visiting as many of
these places as possible. Sometimes we adults can be surprised and educated
too.
The town also plays
a big part in the oil Industry, which has brought further prosperity
to the region.
Golf and fishing
among others can be had in the area.
