Pabail is
a small but popular village in the island area known as the 'Eye' which
juts out from Stornoway in a peninsula
fashion. In the summer months the population doesn't half increase with
holidaymakers so popular is the place.

Other places around the district are Aignish with it's historical church ruins, and the nearby Riot Memorial Centre, and, Portnaguiran village with it's working harbour,a really beautiful place. Fishing, watersports, cycling, walking and wildlife are the attractions of a very attractive area. For eats the hotels,
restaurants and cafes provide excellent fayre. |

Ferry services run from mainland Ullapool. Glasgow connects to Inverness by air, rail bus or coach, and on to Ullapool by bus or coach. Comments or photos to improve this page most welcome. |
