Oldmeldrum is a picturesque place for those who love countryside villages and that wonderful peaceful atmosphere surrounding them.
It has retained much of its originality and with the surrounding views is just the place for a lazy vacation.

At nearby Tarves stands the very interesting Castle of Tolquhon dating from the sixteenth century and Haddo House Country Park with it's rolling landscapes and leisurely walks.

Oldmeldrum has an annual sportsday, which is a great attraction with visitors and locals alike. This is a good fun day although some do take it seriously.
In the near vicinity golf and fishing can be had.

This is good country for a vacation for there is so much to explore and enjoy without raising a sweat.

For the tourists from abroad the nearest airports are Aberdeen with a connection to Oldmeldrum by bus or coach, Glasgow and Edinburgh both connect to Aberdeen by air, rail, bus or coach, and on as above.
