Invermoriston is at the junction of the Fort William and the Kyle of Lochalsh roads and is a nice little village with lots of good old fashioned Scottish scenery.

It's a good starting point for the many walks which abound in the area, one being to the bridge over the River Moriston which was built by Thomas Telford at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

Dr., Johnson and Boswell, that world famous duo, stayed in the village a few days whilst planning their journey to the Hebrides much appreciating the hospitality of the village.

For eats the hotels, restaurants and cafes provide excellent fayre.

Travel is by bus, coach or car.
For the tourists from abroad the nearest airports are Inverness with a connection to the area by bus or coach, Glasgow and Edinburgh both connect to Inverness by air, rail, bus or coach, and on as above.
