MERIDIAN THERAPIES

The use of meridian therapies has been well documented since at least 3000 BC. Ayurveda manuscripts from that period show that meridian healing using chakras and their interconnecting energy channels was already in practice, whilst in China the use of acupuncture since that period is also well documented. Since those times a number of new meridian therapies have evolved including Emotional Freedom Techniques© (EFT), Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) and EmoTrance.
Like other meridian therapies, these modern therapies are based on the principle that all negative emotions are caused by a disruption in the body's energy system. Just as acupuncture works to release blockages in the meridians (energy channels) by inserting needles at selected points, so these new therapies are used to release such blockages by tapping or applying pressure with the fingers on selected points. Clients are taught to carry out the tapping sequence themselves, thus providing them with a powerful self-help technique that can be used for a wide range of issues.

This therapy can be used as a stand-alone therapy, and is also very powerful when used in combination with hypnotherapy.
