This is another therapeutic technique which I offer to clients who
wish to explore this approach to self-knowledge.
The Enneagram is
a system of nine basic personality types. It teaches that each of us sees life in a
particular way, screening out other possibilities.
Identifying our
type makes us conscious of our preoccupations, empowering us to develop neglected parts of
ourselves. The typology is surprisingly precise, and is a fascinating and effective tool
for spiritual and emotional growth.
Through knowledge
of the system our own and others' motivations and behaviours become much more transparent.
I have been
studying the Enneagram and using it in my professional and personal life for nearly
15 years.
I have
completed Parts I and II of Helen Palmer and David Daniels' Enneagram Professional
Teachers' Training Programme in 2002 and 2005 respectively.
Since then I have been giving presentations as
follows..
October, 2002: Half-day workshop
called Living Together in Peace; Understanding Ourselves and Others through
the Enneagram (at the Findhorn Foundation, to members of The Counselling
Forum, Aberdeen, Scotland).
October, 2002: Two-day workshop,

November, 2002: Half-day
