Reflexology
is a complementary therapy and involves a pressure technique
using thumbs and fingers on the reflex areas found in the feet
and hands. Reflexology is extremely effective and is based on
the principle that reflexes in the feet and hands correspond
to each organ and structure in the body and are linked to those
organs by energy channels, zones or meridians.
When illness
occurs in the body, the corresponding energy channels become
blocked, and Reflexology is applied to remove these blockages,
allowing the energy to flow freely again.
The mind, body & spirit are brought back into balance, restoring
and maintaining the body's natural equilibrium, therefore good
health. This is a lovely gentle treatment & is suitable
for all ages.
The Beneficial
effects include:
Stress relief
Relaxation
Sleep disorders
Pain relief
Arthritis
Migraine

Digestive disorders
Improves circulation
Improves immune system
Assists post-operative recovery
Assists amputees experiencing phantom pains.
History
of Reflexology
While the
art of reflexology dates back to ancient Egypt, India &
China, it was in the early 1900' that Dr. William Fitzgerald
introduced this therapy to the west as zone therapy. It was
noted that reflex areas on the feet and hands were linked to
other areas and organs of the body within the same zone.
In the 1930' Eunice Ingham further developed this zone therapy
into what is now known as reflexology. She observed that congestion
or tension in any part of the foot is mirrored in the corresponding
part of the body.
TREATMENT
Rozannes's treatments are well known to be deeply relaxing,
working with a gently touch, a reflexology session will last
about 1 hour, she adheres to a code of ethics, including Confidentiality.
