Grantown on Spey is the main town of Strathspey and a most popular one too.

It has many fine qualities, which make for a great holiday, not least the friendliness of the locals.
The shops provide a good variety of produce all from the locality, from foodstuffs to artworks. Being on the Spey, that world famous Salmon River, angling is a major attraction with visitors, whether to cast a line or to just take in the atmosphere.

There are so many exhilarating walks to try and places to see, like the Museum, the Heritage Trust, the Strathaird Smokehouse and of course the Grantown Golf Course.

Grantown is a good starting point for the famous Whisky Trail leading on to the visitor centres at each of the distilleries where a good time is to be had..

Outwith the town there are many other attractions worth seeing such as Lochindorb Castle and Dulnain Bridge for it's 'Heather' Centre.

For Eats there are good establishments such as the Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes at reasonable prices.

Hotels, Guesthouses, Caravan and Camping sites are available at varying prices.

Travel is by bus, coach or car.
For the tourists from abroad the nearest airports are Inverness with a connection to Grantown by bus or coach, Glasgow and Edinburgh both connect to Inverness by air, rail, bus or coach and on as above.
