Invergarry, on the junction of the Kyles and Fort William roads is a beautiful little place surrounded by magnificent scenery, which leaves the visitor in wonder and awe.

This is the land of legends and fables, of Jacobites and Redcoats, of monsters and ghosts, which are etched into Scottish history.

The ruggedness of the country along with the mysteries of the waters induces the mind to wander into these past days where men and women struggled to eke out a life by the barest means.

The village in those days was an important point as the Government soldiers could monitor the movements of potential enemies, for almost anyone was a potential enemy, and relay information to Inverness. Later Fort Augustus was built to cover that task.
