Fraserburgh

Town

Fraserburgh is one of Scotlands' major fishing ports with a large and active fleet. Fishing along with boatbuilding and ship repair is an important part of the economy but not all as agriculture plays its part in a big way. A certain amount of oil related work has also helped the prosperity of the town.

The town has fine sandy beaches, which are well kept to award winning standard so there's no worry for the children playing on them.

The famous Lighthouse Museum and Lighthouse, Scotlands' first, are well worth a visit for this is a very interesting subject matter especially for schoolkids.
The shopping centre is good with a wide variety of outlets.

There's sea fishing, golf and many other sporting facilities to be had at or around Fraserburgh.

For food, the Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes provide excellent local produce at very reasonable prices.
Hotel, Guesthouse, Caravan and Camping facilities are available.

Travel is by bus, coach or car.
For tourists from abroad the nearest airports are Aberdeen with a connection to Fras
erburgh by bus or coach. Glasgow and Edinburgh both connect to Aberdeen by air, rail, bus or coach and on as above.
