One-day feltmaking workshops
at the Moray Art Centre
Felt-making is an ancient tradition, creating fabric through the use of friction, pressure, moisture and warmth.
Playing’ with colours and natural fibres is a great way to get in touch with your
creative energy. Explore a variety of feltmaking techniques using merino wool, natural coloured wool, silk and many other fibres.
Unless otherwise stated, all workshops are for beginners and more experienced
felters. The latter will explore different felting techniques and surface
manipulation and deepen their understanding of the various processes.

Fancy Footwear.
Get your feet warm in winter! Create a pair of slippers or boots to your own design. |
| MARCH 1st: |
Felting without seams.
A chance to create a 3D piece e.g. a hat, bag, vessel.By using a resist you will not need a needle and thread! You will learn about shape and design and about how to include other decorative fibres such as silk and threads. |
