FELTMAKING WORKSHOPS IN FINDHORN

THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT THE MORAY ART CENTRE

Felt-making is an ancient tradition, creating fabric through the use of friction, pressure, moisture and warmth.
Playing’ with colours and natural fibres is a great way to get in touch with your creative energy. Explore a variety of feltmaking techniques using merino wool, natural coloured wool, silk and many other fibres.

Painting with Wool

No need for any drawing skills. Let the wool speak for itself! Enjoy working with texture, colour, silk, threads and other fibres that will add to an unique picture! For beginners and the more advanced.

Sculpted Felt

Felt-making is an ancient tradition, creating fabric through the use of friction, pressure, moisture and warmth. Working 3D is very exciting! You can make a pot or vase, or make a flat piece of felt and shape this in a 3D form, thus forming it into a landscape or an abstract piece of felt!
