Sheep on a Hill

Findhorn Felt

Felt is made from sheep’s wool. Through moisture, soap, heat, friction, pressure, wool fibres tangle and a piece of fabric is created.
Felt can be paper thin or very thick. One can work 2D or 3D with it.

I love making felt pictures and wall hangings. Whenever possible I go out sketching and often use my sketches (and photographs) as my source of inspiration. Every felt piece, displayed on this web site, is original and one of it’s kind.
I also make scarfs, silk chiffon scarfs, hats, footwear and 3D sculpture.
I mostly work with Merino wool but also use local fleeces.

Even though I have worked with felt for 15 years, I still discover new ways of using felt. Felt is so versatile. The process of making felt is magical and fun and I love sharing this ancient craft with others.
My felt workshops are for young and old. Workshops can be organised for special events/ celebrations/ school projects or can be tailored to your own needs/design!
