Dufftown
is a small town right in the heart of Whisky Country but very
much given over to agriculture. It's a pretty little place with the
shops a centre for the area.
For ramblers and walkers it's just the place to start on exploring the
wonderful countryside, as there is so much to take in.
Nearby there's the
Whisky Distillery Visitor Centre to enjoy with displays on the
making of the ' Golden Liquor '. This is a very popular attraction.
If you like the idea of old castles then Balvenie Castle, Auchindoun
Castle and Mortlach Church are a must to browse over, just
outwith the town.
Sitting itself on
the River Fiddich and the Dullan Water, which feed the
Spey, this tells us of excellent opportunities for some good
fishing.
The town also has good golf facilities for the other fanatics.
