Dalwhinnie, by Loch Ericht is a pleasant little village with the fame of having the 'Highest Distillery in the World'.

It's wild country up there so if you have the adventurous spirit then this is the place for you. The hillwalks are tremendous and very exhilarating with the freshest of air to cleanse the tubes. The scenery is something else and the wildlife varied with plenty of it to see and enjoy.
With all the lochs and rivers around the village some good fishing is to be had, if, of course, you like to dabble with the rod and line.
The distillery is open to visitors and a 'warm' welcome awaits you plus a very interesting display on the making of our famous liquor.

Not far from the village the Iron Age Fort of Dun Da Lamph can be viewed so be prepared for a brisk but exciting walk.
Laggan Bridge, not so far away, is the site for the filming of the popular TV programme 'Monarch of the Glen'. This again is a bonnie bit of country and well worth a visit.
