Cruden Bay
is a seaside village with miles of golden sand and fresh sea air. What
more could you want with Peterhead
to the north and old Aberdeen to
the south should you ever weary for some town life.
Why not take an
evening stroll up the coast to see that ruin called Castle Slains,
let your imagination run amok and you never know, you might just create
a monster bestseller, for, some years ago, another did just that and
' Dracula ' was born.
Yes this is the
inspirational place, not down south as others would have you believe.
This is the place with its towering cliffs, castle and angry sea pouring
onto the rocks below, where the story was formulated.
It's amazing how
the mind works on one's fears, so now you know where to bring the children
when they are naughty.
For the sporty types
there's a terrific links course to be tackled and plenty of good sea
fishing from the beach.
