Craigellachie
sits on the River Spey and also is part of the famous
' Whisky Trail '. It's famous for the quality and size of fish
caught on the river around the village, for anglers the world over flock
to the area to try their hand at this very popular sport.
Needless to say
it's a very picturesque region with the countryside providing some great
walks, the river, if not being fished, at least some great viewing,
and the distilleries for some exciting visiting at their centres. A
barrel manufacturer is located in the village and to see these men at
work is very interesting.
Surrounding spots like Archiestown, Carron and Aberlour
are lovely and well worth a visit.
