Argyll and Central has everything from beautiful islands, magical lochs, awesome castles, rolling hills to enchanting gardens. If time itself needed history then this would be the place to start.

From the western extremity to the eastern end of this region is alive with names that are truly legend. Think of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Rob Roy,
Charles Edward Stuart
and many more and you begin to see what I mean.
From the Picts add Romans, stir in a little Angles and Britons and simmer with a few Vikings and top with a lavish spread of Scots and there you have it, the nation called Scotland.

On viewing the land of this area one can see why so many wanted to posses it.
The wildlife is not bad either, for we can boast of many varieties of birds starting with the eagle; many four legged beasts starting with the stag, that famous 'Lord of the Glen'; and many varieties of fish starting with the Scottish fresh water salmon.

For the sporty types we have a little game called golf with not a few courses, sea and river or loch fishing for the allweather enthusiasts, watersports in abundance and even gliding for "the would be pilot".
For the sightseeing fraternity we have castles, abbeys, cathedrals, museums, highland games, theatres, gardens and much more.
For those whose day is only complete with a good meal we can boast some of the finest eating places serving the finest Scottish produce.

For further information on towns and travel our search facilities will access the places you wish to find.
